The alleged abuser faces a prison sentence of five years.
BENIDORM National Police have arrested a German fugitive in Calp who is accused of sexually assaulting his daughter. The 55-year-old man had been hiding from German authorities after allegedly raping his daughter when she was 15. The sexual abuse occurred in 2001 in a German city near Essen, when the man abused his daughter in the family home. According to information given by the German police, the father ordered the girl to take off her clothes and abused her in her bed. Once the sexual relations were over, the man left the room and said “I wanted to be the first.” Following the alleged abuser’s arrest, he was taken to Madrid to be placed at the disposal of the Central Court, where the extradition process to Germany will be processed. Police in Benidorm activated the search after receiving information warning of the possible presence of the fugitive on the Alicante coast. Inquiries led the officers to a residential community in Calp, where they were able to locate the house where he was living.
