THE CIHAR Diamond Medal has been awarded by the Hispanic-Arabic Intercultural Circle, to the different security bodies and forces for their work during the September storms.
Mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, attended the presentation which was held in the Sala del Oriol of Orihuela Town Hal.
The Councillor for Emergencies, Víctor Valverde, and the Councillor for Public Safety, Ramón López, were also present, as well as councillors from the Municipal Corporation.
Thus, the president the Circle, Abdel-Wahhab Tounsi Mod, presented the award to Civil Protection of Orihuela, Orihuela Local Police, Alicante Red Cross, Provincial Consortium of Fire, Regional Police, Guardia Civil, National Police, Military Union of Emergencies (UME) and the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response.
