A dog walker was sexually assaulted in a sickening early morning attack at a city beauty spot.
The woman, who is in her 30s, was walking her dog when she was targeted at *Lickey Hills, near Rednal when she was approached by a man in a coat who was said to smell strongly of urine, between 7.30am and 8am on Tuesday morning.
He then sexually assaulted her on a steep bank within the woodland – just 250 metres from the popular visitor centre.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was left shaken, while the attacker fled and is now on the run from West Mercia Police. Officers are desperately appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity to come forward. Detective Sergeant Ian Standing said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously and a thorough investigation is underway while the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.
*Lickey Hills Country Park is a country park in England. It is 10 miles south west of Birmingham and 24 miles north east of Worcester.
