FAMILIES can take part in a Spanish Christmas tradition and raise money for charity at the same time with the visit of the Royal Postman.
Mijas council on Spain’s Costa del Sol has once again teamed up with the Corté Ingles Mijas Costa department store to give youngsters a chance to have their photos taken with the postman – and give him their presents list.
He will be in the store from December 26 until January 2 between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm.
A photo with him costs €2 with the proceeds being used to buy toys for the children of the families served by Caritas of the Parish San Manuel.
The mayor of Mijas, Josele Gonzalez highlighted during the presentation in El Corte Inglés Costa Mijas, the work done by Caritas to help those families who need it most.
José María Ramos, pastor of San Manuel González, said: “Thanks to all of you who make this fourth year possible. I believe that the great mission of every man of good will, of every business and of every institution where there are good people, is to make others happy.”
This year there will be a draw for all participants who share their photo to Instagram, which will give the winning family a voucher to access one of the theme parks in the province.
