FARES on the local rail service on the Costa Blanca region are to be frozen in 2020.
The Regional government has approved the proposal as part of a package of measures designed to increase passenger numbers.
Another approved proposal is to abandon the current two hour time limit put on single-use tickets so they will have no expiry date.
A proposal has also been made to apply the reduction for single-parent families (20 per cent for general families or 50 per cent for special families), which is currently restricted to TuiN card holders to everyone who qualifies.
The Board of Directors has also approved the FGV Public Employment Offer for 2019 which means 107 new jobs in the region will be created, with 7 per cent reserved for handicapped people.
