For the fourth year running, the Fuengirola Council alongside the local Bioparc and El Corte Inglés is running a special competition for schoolchildren inviting them to draw their favourite animal.

The intention is to encourage children to be aware of the importance of the environment and the fact that it is not just humans who inhabit the world but there is a world of nature which depends on humanity caring for it.

Every school, both primary and secondary in Fuengirola as well as Mijas has been sent details of the competition together with the rules and a special card on which the children can draw with a closing date of December 29.

All entries can be hand delivered to the basement Christmas area at El Corte Inglés in Mijas Costa and the picture considered the best will win a €1,000 gift card that the school can use to purchase supplies.
