Police are investigating a robbery which took place at a busy Asda in Cardiff.
Thousands of pounds in Christmas sales cash takings was stolen from a driver of a G4S security van.
The Guards were left heavily shaken but unharmed by the incident despite being threatened with weapons.
Shopper in the Asda supermarket Tony Reece who lives part time in Cardiff and part time on the Costa del Sol in La Cala told the Euro Weekly News: “I was by the fresh fish section when the robbery was taking place. They were a slick operators, It was all so casual it was unreal. I saw the police helicopter when I came out and a police cars driving around the car park but it looked as if the robbers had got away. The guards looked really shook up as they sat beside their security van with their hats off”
” Unlike in Spain the guards didn’t have guns, I felt sorry for them” said startled Tony
“I’m coming back to Spain on Christmas Eve to try and put this at the back of mind”
A man hunt is currently taking place in the Welsh Capital for the gang.
