The Arenal Deportiva freemasons’ lodge recently held their annual Christmas carol concert. This was held at a restaurant between Teulada and Moraira, where more than 80 masons, their wives and guests enjoyed a great evening of good food, good wine, great entertainment and great camaraderie. The evening began at 7pm with a full house when the Charity Steward of Arenal Lodge, Glyn Walters welcomed everyone and soon had them singing the first of the many carols that were heard thatnight. Dinner began at around 8pm with more carols between each course, asthe singing becoming progressively louder before a toast was given at 9pm to Absent Brethren. A charity raffle with excellent prizes raised the exceptional sum of €460. This will be donated in the form of much-needed equipment to the charity chosen for this event, the Raquel Paya school for disabled children in Denia.
