Two men have lost their life this morning on the A7 on the Costa Blanca whilst two others are in a critical condition after a horrendous smash in on the Costa Blanca.
The tragic crash took place this morning on the A-7 in Tibi, where according to the Guardia Civil, a head-on collision involving two cars took place after one of the cars travelled the wrong way down the carriageway.
The smash was at high speed and resulted in the death of a 35- and 40-year old man.
A 66-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were also critically injured and have been transferred to the Alicante General Hospital where they remain in intensive care.
Police are appealing for further witnesses.
Traffic on the A7 is currently reduced with lane closures as the scene is investigated by Highway Officers due to the fatal deaths and could potentially be a manslaughter case pending when full facts are established if survivors are to blame.
