Velez-Malaga news: Traditional tasting in Benajarafe

BENAJARAFE is set to celebrate the twelfth edition of the ‘Migas Day’ on Sunday, December 15; an event in which residents and visitors come together to enjoy the traditional dish of La Axarquia.
The deputy mayor of Benajarafe, J. Hipólito Gómez, and Juan Luis Calderón, from the celebrations committee, gave details of this event in which musical performances, children’s animations and the participation of the parish will be highlights.
J. Hipólito Gómez stated that “the strong support of the Government team towards the traditions of the different areas of the municipality such as this day involving the community, in which residents and visitors come together to celebrate the tasting of the traditional cuisine of the region ”.
The activities will begin at 12.30 pm on Sunday, with the opening of the courtyard of the Church, where most of the activities will be held. Then, attendees can enjoy the performance of the local Dance Academy ‘Tacones al aire’, the ‘Pastoral Del Mar’ and the ‘Pastoral El Chorro’. At 2.30 pm the serving of migas will begin with the symbolic contribution of only one euro. From 4 pm. the performances of the ‘La Tinaja’ Benojarafe Rociero Choir, the ‘Pastoral Río Granadilla’ and finally the ‘Los Pastoral Los de Torremoya’ will take place.
