Prison move for Gabriel Cruz killer

THE woman found guilty of killing eight-year old Gabriel Cruz is being moved today Tuesday from the Acebuche prison in Almeria to a jail in Brieva in Avila.

The decision to transfer Ana Julia Quesada is a response to her request to be taken away from Almeria, where she has been held for nearly two years separately from the other inmates.

The Almeria Provincial Court sentenced Quesada to a maximum permanent reviewable prison sentence, making her the first woman in Spain to serve life with a possibility of parole after a minimum fixed term.
