Ambitious project to promote cycling in Alicante Costa Blanca

ALICANTE council will invest more than €3 million in creating a new cycling and pedestrian platform running from the European Union Intellectual Property Office to Urbanova.
Town Planning councillor Adrian Santos revealed the city authority had decided to expand on the original plan of a straightforward cycle track to a more ambitious infrastructure, complete with garden areas.
The project will also include two roundabouts connecting with the EU office and the Ciudad de la Luz and a footbridge over the railway track.
The works are expected to be carried out next year.
