TEULADA-MORAIRA town hall and the Association of Muscatel Producers are promoting the local grapes in Spain’s most important markets. The Agriculture department has printed 75,000 leaflets for inclusionin the crates of grapes sent to Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Logroño and other Spanish cities. Approximately 500,000 kilos of Teulada-Moraira grapes are sold annually and the leaflets will explain how the sun and sea breezes give the local grapes their special taste and colour, while promoting Teulada-Moraira as a tourist destination. “We want our grapes to become well-known throughout the country,” said Agriculture councillor, Alejando Llobell. “And what better way of doing it than by direct contact with the people who buy them? This is not a large campaign, but we are sure it will give excellent results.”
