Double Murder Linked to organised crime
A MAN and a woman have been arrested in Dover in Kent, England, on suspicion of terror offences relating to Syria.
In a statement, West Midlands Police said the pair were stopped on Saturday, December 7, and are now being questioned by detectives at a police station, adding that there is no immediate risk to the public. The force said:
“A 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested in Dover.
“The man was arrested on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorism offences and funding/supporting terrorism.
“The woman was arrested on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorism offences.
“The arrests were carried out by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit detectives and the two are being questioned at a police station in the West Midlands.”
As Euro Weekly News understands, the arrests are not being linked to the London Bridge terror attack and have formed part of an intelligence-led operation.
