Elche will help youngsters working abroad get home to Costa Blanca for Christmas

THE Town Hall in Elche in Costa Blanca will help youngsters get home for Christmas once again. Aids will be provided for young people who live and work abroad in order to cover part of their travel expenses.

Elche Town Hall has allocated €15,000 to the cause. The amount per person works out at €100 for people between the ages of 18 to 35 and will be given to people who live abroad and whose last residence in Spain was Elche.

The aid can be requested from December 16 to January 15 and it is necessary to prove residency in a foreign country and attach a work contract. Last year, the local government authorised a total sum of €25,000 to help youngsters abroad, with the requirement that they earn under €2,700 gross per month and possessed a Spanish bank account.
