FIREFIGHTERS in Marbella rescued a 25-year-old British hiker who had been lost in the Arroyo de Las Piedras area when he was descending from the peak of La Concha.
He had become separated from the group he wa with as they headed for Nagüeles on Sunday.
The young man, who was found at about 8.30 pm was in good condition and did not require medical assistance, but was not wearing waterproof clothing or enough food and drink, according to Marbella City Council.
After receiving the 112 alert, three firefighters began a search on foot from Nagüeles and found him thanks to the coordinates that the young man sent to his friends before draining the battery of his mobile phone.
