ANOTHER major anti-drugs operation is in action today, with 400 Guardia Civil agents deployed against narcotics traffic and money laundering under the Carteya Plan.
The officers moved in on addresses in Malaga, Cadiz, Cordoba and Pontevedra in Spain this morning, with 20 arrests so far made and more expected.
Sources at the Guardia Civil said there have been 34 searches in homes and premises in the provinces of Cadiz, Malaga, Cordoba and Pontevedra within the operation “Koala”, against international trafficking in hashish, and “Laly“, against money laundering, which remain open and in which more arrests are expected in the coming hours. In addition, agents have seized weapons, cash, vehicles and boats.
Participating agents belong to the commands of Algeciras, Cadiz, Malaga, Cordoba and Pontevedra.
