Eleven long months and still no news of Henry Alejandro Jiménez Marín, the young man who was last seen celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends. His last sighting was in an urbanisation in Orihuela Costa during the early hours of January 1. He vanished without leaving a trace and his family remains broken and unable to find peace.
Henry Alejandro’s loved ones still have no answers for his inexplicable disappearance. Family and friends haven’t stopped the search and they have gotten together month after month asking for support and making sure the case isn’t forgotten.
Henry was 20 years old at the time of his disappearance and had spent the New Year’s celebrating with friends at home in Orihuela Costa. Police sources informed that he was later assaulted by his flatmate in the house they shared in La Florida urbanisation. The circumstances surrounding the fight have not been clarified but Henry left home at around 9am.
A witness said he had seen the young man in the pub area of Aguamarina and family confirmed it was Henry after watching the security footage that placed him in one of the pubs at 11:42pm on January 1.
However, this was the last clue to his whereabouts and the Guardia Civil continue to search for the Colombian man. Officers searched ravines, clearings, coves and the whole of Orihuela coast as they searched for any evidence. Now, almost a year later, Henry Alejandro’s family are desperate to keep the search alive.
