Obra Social Caixabank: Enhances the employability of residents. SOURCE: Ayuntamiento de Finestrat.
THE COUNCILOR for Enterprise, Donna Rebecca Plummer recently met with Toni Marqués, director of the Caixabank office in Benidorm; and Juan Mayor Marcet, manager of the Business Area Management and head of the Obra Social Caixabank to thank them for the recent donation of €1,500 aimed at improving the employability of Finestrat residents. At the end of this meeting, Councilor for Enterprise, Donna Rebecca Plummer explained that “The help from Obra Social Caixabank will allow us to organize more training activities next year which will continue to help our citizens increase their chances of finding a job. ” Among the courses promoted by the Finestrat Employment and Local Development Agency (AEDL) are food handling, commercial English, butchery, swimming pool maintenance and sales strategy. “These are courses that are oriented to the personnel needs of Finestrat companies and also throughout the region. This, undoubtedly, enhances the employability of the residents who participate in this training because then they find it easier to apply for that job.”
