THE Marina Bar in Torrevieja was a hive of activity when it held its Christmas Fair to raise funds for AFA Alzheimers based in the town.
The billiard table was covered with gifts which were ideal for stocking the raffle, tombola and stands and the large number of people who attended enjoyed buying some early Christmas presents whilst listening to seasonal songs played by the Phoenix band.
Santa Claus arrived from the North Pole and handed out Santa shaped chocolates to the large number of excited children who queued up to give him their Christmas gift lists.
Representatives of the charity were there to see the support that was being given and the sum of €1,493.56 was raised on the day.
That wasn’t all however as €200 had been raised from an earlier ‘Fright Night’ held in the bar so the grand total handed over to AFA Alzheimers was rounded up to €1693.56.
