A TEENAGE boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed on Woolwich New Road in London, England.

The 17-year-old staggered into a barber shop on the evening of November 27, after he had been attacked, where staff tried to stem the bleeding with towels until the paramedics arrived.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, finding the teenager suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was then rushed to a south London hospital, where emergency services report that his condition is not life-threatening.

As reported by the Metropolitan Police, it is thought that the boy was knifed during a fight in a flat 350 yards away, before fleeing onto the street. A trail of blood could be seen along Woolwich New Road.

We at Euro Weekly News understand that police are appealing for information as they try to establish what happened to the boy. An investigation has been launched into the incident as officers hunt for the attacker, with the police confirming that so far no arrests have been made.

The incident adds to the growing number of stabbings in London this year, where the Metropolitan Police have recently revealed that the number of teenagers stabbed to death in the capital has reached its highest level in over ten years.
