THE Mayor of Callosa de Segura, Manuel Martinez, has announced that Alicante Provincial Council will provide €133,000 to reform the town’s Museum of Easter.
The museum on the Costa Blanca in Spain is said to be in very poor condition, and has been for some years, with it being seen as a poor advert for some of the town’s most important celebrations.
Mayor Martinez said: “The project is out to public consultation and will soon be put out to tender. We hope that in the first quarter of 2020 the works can begin.”
The main part of the reform will consist of the comprehensive rehabilitation of the roof, which involves installing a metal structure with thermal insulation, as well as works to the interior and other parts of the building.
