Building work continues at hotel for elite athletes in Costa Blanca

LUXURIOUS: The hotel will be a four-star establishment

WORK advances mechanically in Pedreguer as builders hurry to finish one of Spain’s first hotels dedicated specifically to elite athletes. The hotel is being built on 7,700 square metres and is located at the entrance of exclusive urbanisation La Sella.
Five bulldozers are on site as they drill into the mountainside. The amount of work is so sizeable that there are two excavation companies from both Calp and Albatera on the job.
The four-star hotel called ‘Elite Sport Point’ will have 46 rooms, with 16 of them boasting hypoxia chambers that simulate high altitude conditions. The project will be finished in 18 months, as stated by Russian promotor and ex professional cyclist Aleksandr Kolobnev. He also wrote to owners at La Sella asking for patience with all the inconveniences and assured that the hotel will generate ‘mutual benefits.’
