Electric shock as Tesla Spain makes increased profit

UNLIKE its US parent, Tesla Spain is doing well financially as turnover for 2018 was €32 million and profits doubled when compared to 2017.

It has high hopes for this year and 2020 as the new model Tesla 3 which was only released in February has become the best-selling electric car in Spain.

Although there is still not a huge market for electric here, it managed to sell 589 cars which was the equivalent of 89 per cent of the company’s total sales for the previous two years.
