AN employee was slightly hurt when a Banco Santander branch was held up at gun point in Alicante city on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
Police have launched a hunt for the robber who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the branch in plaza Galicia.
The attack happened at 9.30 this morning (November 28). Police say the robber was wearing a wig and carried a revolver, although they do not know if the gun was real or fired blanks.
He threatened staff then seized money. As he made for the exit a bank maintenance worker entered and confronted the man.
In a brief struggle, the employee was slightly injured and was unable to hold on to the robber who made his get away
Judicial police and the forensic officers are combing the bank for evidence that might help them identify the robber.
