LOCKDOWN PARTY: Police make two arrests

TWO men accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl will be tried in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
The men, who are brothers, face a jail sentence after an investigation by Palma National Police revealed that they had been sexually abusing one of the men’s daughters over a continued period of time in 2017.
According to the police, the young girl was sexually abused multiple times throughout the year at her family home. The girl was abused by her father at night when she was alone in her bedroom, and by her uncle when he was in charge of looking after her during the day.
The two men, of Spanish nationality, were arrested in January 2018 and have since been prohibited by a court order from coming within 500 meters of the child or communicating with her.
Prosecutors are asking that both men receive 6 years in prison, with the Public Ministry requesting that the father withdraws his parental rights over the child. They also ask that the father pays €15,000 in compensation to his daughter for the psychological damage that she has suffered since the assaults.
We at Euro Weekly News understand that the trial is expected to be held in the coming months at the Provincial Court in Palma de Mallorca.
