The Euro Weekly News is proud to be the official media sponsor for the Dames in Spain (Mojacar) grand fundraising Christmas Bazaar
THE final countdown to the Dames in Spain grand Christmas Bazaar on Saturday is on!
This is the group’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and the Euro Weekly News, the official media sponsor for the event, will be there at Mojacar’s multi-uses centre enjoying every minute of the fun.
We cannot wait to have a good browse around the many stalls loaded with great Christmas gift ideas, scrumptious home-made cakes and an array of handicrafts. EWN is also looking forward to the entertainment to get us in the Festive Season mood.
Christmassy tunes will ring out throughout the event, with performances by the Mojacar band and carol sing-alongs led by Tony Justice and Lady Ellen, with free wine and mince pies to follow.
The tombola and the Grand Raffle will inevitably be one of the most popular features of the bazaar thanks to the outstanding prizes up for grabs.
The EWN has contributed this year’s super top prize: a Smart TV no less!
Is it any wonder the Dames in Spain Christmas Bazaar is one of those events which attracts large crowds from the local Spanish and foreign resident communities!
The Mojacar-based Dames in Spain is a group which really deserves everyone’s full support. Ever since it was founded nearly 35 years ago with the aim of promoting friendship, an understanding of living in Spain and to help local charities, the Dames has played an active and important role in the local community and has over the years worked tirelessly to raise funds for worthy causes.
The Dames’ chosen charities this year are the MACS cancer association, the Asprodalba association for the intellectually disabled and the Stepping Stones carers group.
They will be presenting each with cheques for €1,000 at Saturday’s bazaar.
This is an unmissable event: this Saturday November 30 at the Mojacar multi-uses centre opposite the roundabout close to the public fountain and the road leading up to the village. Doors open at 10am.
