A 4-YEAR-OLD-BOY has sadly died after drowning in a swimming pool in Córdoba, Spain.
The tragic incident occurred earlier this month (November 18), after the young child fell into a private pool at a property belonging to his relatives in Las Pinedas.
After a call to the 112 Emergency Services, an ambulance rushed to scene, with the child in such a serious condition that he was airlifted by helicopter to the Reina Sofía University Hospital in Córdoba.
We at Euro Weekly News understand that the boy was placed in the paediatric intensive care unit where he was reported by doctors to be in critical condition.
Tragically, it has now been confirmed that the boy died on Monday, November 25, after succumbing to his injuries.
Córdoba City Council has declared two days of mourning for the child on November 26 and 27, expressing their deepest condolences to the family.
