Guardia Civil made 3 arrests in Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca
A MAN who chained his dog up under the summer sun with no food or water for several days has been fined €8 a day for three months.
An Estepona court heard that Guardia Civil nature protection agents (Seprona) had visited an address in the Costa del Sol town following a complaint made in August.
There they were confronted by the sight of the starving dog lying covered in its own excrement.
The court considered the case proven after considering a report from the College of Veterinarians of Malaga who worked with Seprona on the case.
The man was found guilty of a ‘misdemeanour of animal abuse.’
