FOR THE fifth consecutive year the Library of Rincon de la Victoria Antonio de Hilaria celebrates the V Cambalache Solidario where books are exchanged for food. “We do it with the purpose of helping those disadvantaged and at risk of exclusion so that they can have food support for the Christmas season,” said the Councilor for Culture, Clara Perles.

Books and audiovisual materials offered in this solidarity campaign have been selected by the library staff from the multitude of donations received by the users themselves in recent months, taking into account the preferences of both adult and young readers.

Any person who takes a non-perishable food product to the Library of Rincon de la Victoria can take up to three books in exchange, combining them as you want. The deadline to participate is until December 18. Everything collected will be donated before Christmas Eve to the Rincón Contigo Local Association, which will be responsible for distributing the products collected among the families who need it most.
