THE football player accused of brutally assaulting a footballer on the field has received a lifetime ban from AD Son Sardina in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
The news was announced in a statement from Mari Paz Cerdá, President of AD Son Sardina, this morning (November 23) who stated that regardless of “the penalty that falls upon the player by the Committee, that he will not return to play or train with any of our teams”.
The incident occurred during a match between Athletic Huialfàs and AD Son Sardina on November 9, when the accused punched his rival in the face, breaking his jaw and leaving him unconscious.
The 23-year-old aggressor, who has been named as Borja SN, was arrested by the National Police and has been charged with serious assault. We at Euro Weekly News also understand that the player is also well known as an expert in martial arts.
Cerdá reiterated his apologies to Athletic Huialfàs and to the injured player, wishing him “a speedy recovery”.
