JAVEA’S town hall intends to spend €46,000 on drafting a municipal “noise map.” The study will analyse noise levels in different parts of Javea and help to pinpoint the principal causes of noise pollution inside the town. The study will differentiate between rural and urban districts and roads as well as roads, industrial estates, leisure areas, residential neighbourhoods and commercial zones. Protected areas like health centres and schools, together with other areas of recognised environmental value will also be analysed. The town hall is especially concerned about the Arenal district whose many bars and pubs are responsible for continued complaints from residents.
