HUDDERSFIELD single dad-of-five Ben Carpenter, 35, is heartbroken after his youngest adopted son suddenly passed away.

Ben Carpenter was overjoyed when he was allowed to adopt on his own – but his dream has now turned to tragedy with the loss of two-year-old Noah.

Noah, whose biological parents were unable to look after him, suffered from a rare genetic disorder called Cornelia de Lange syndrome which meant he had complex needs which were life-limiting.

Ben said Noah’s death was “sudden and unexpected,” reports ExaminerLive and that words could not describe how “numb” he was feeling at the loss of his “beautiful baby boy”

The single dad has four other adopted children, all with special needs. His devotion has seen him recognised for his work promoting adoption.

The Huddersfield super dad has thanked friends and family for their messages of support, saying that people’s kindness had brought him comfort at a difficult time.

Ben had told of his joy at being given permission to adopt Noah, who was almost two at the time.

The heartbreaking news of Noah’s death comes just days after Ben told ExaminerLive that he was hopeful of adopting his sixth child – a baby boy who has a disability which affects his mobility.
