Domestic abuse against women is on the increase on the Costa del Sol Spain and throughout Andalucia as more women registered for assistance from support services in the region.
Emergency services saw a rise in domestic abuse cases they attended increasing by 49 women requiring assistance than in 2018.
Due to the increase €7.5 million has been set aside for domestic violence support services for the forthcoming year as statistics revealed that 1083 women attended domestic abuse centres between January and September this year alone in the region of Andalucia Spain.
Sadly there is also an increase in the number of children attending as the figure nears 1,000 which is quite a shocking figure for underage domestic abuse.
