A MAN has been arrested for committing three robberies with violence and intimidation at shops in Sa Coma de Sant Llorenç. As reported by the Guardia Civil, the investigation began in September after a robbery on a pharmacy in Sa Coma. Wielding a large knife, the thief wore a motorcycle helmet to hide his identity, taking over €200 from the cash register. In October, the same man broke into a car rental company dressed in a protective helmet and sunglasses, threating employees with violence. The assailant fled without taking anything, but a day later, he struck a supermarket brandishing a knife. A saleswoman managed to go outside to ask for help but the man fled from the scene. The investigation focused on a 58-year-old man who was known to local authorities and who had a lengthy criminal history. Once identified, he was arrested where he is now being detained in prison.
