A minimum seven people have been killed after a gas pipeline exploded in the Bangladeshi port city of Chittagong.
The gas pipeline blew up in front of a five-storey building, blowing walls off the building, sending ruble and bricks flying hitting and burying people.
Police chief Mohammed Mohsin said at least 25 people were taken to hospital and firefighters joined the rescue operation.
It’s not immediately clear what caused the explosion so far but investigations are under way whilst emergency staff at he local hospital continue to fight saving life.
Chittagong is 134miles southeast of the capital, Dhaka. A very built up city with a dense population.
