CALPE U3A recently visited Sevilla, arriving after a smooth trip on the AP-7 motorway.
Their first day included a conducted tour of the city with their guide, Isabelwho gave them an insight into the history of the ancient city that was founded 28 centuries ago.
Next day some members opted for a boat trip on the river, others visiting the Tio Pepe bodega and the Spanish Riding School in Jerez de la Frontera.
A good time was had by all, with the group returning safely to Calpe after the three-day trip.
The next Calpe U3A meeting will be the annual General Meeting at the Sol Ifach Hotel on November 21 at 10am for an 11am start.
Although it is for members only, it will be possible to sign up at the membership desk before the meeting.
The speaker is the British vice-consul Sara Munsterhjelm who will bring members up to date with the latest developments in the Brexit saga and the implications for those who have chosen to live and work in Spain.
More information about the Calpe U3A is available at www.u3a.org email membership@u3acalpe.org or the travel@u3acalpe.org groupscoordinator@u3acalpe.org website.
