A MAJOR operation against drugs traffickers in Granada is underway today (October 14).
More than 200 National Police officers supported by helicopters, judicial Police and Customs officers are involved in ‘Operation Cake’.
Police say they are making ‘numerous searches and arrests’ in relation to the cultivation and trafficking of marihuana.
Specifically, the operation in the northern area of Granada involves more than 200 specialised police district police stations, GOES (Special Security Operations Groups), GOIT (Operational Groups of Technical Interventions), IPU (Police Intervention Units), UPR (Units of Prevention and Reaction), dog guides, air assets and Judicial Police, with the collaboration of Customs Surveillance agents.
