Marina Alta house prices inching upwards

PRE-OWNED Marina Alta properties are the most expensive in the Valencia region, according to online estate agents Fotocasa.
Latest figures reveal that prices rose by 0.1 per cent last October to €1,390 per square metre although Fotocasa also pointed out that the average Marina Alta price is still below Spain’s average of €1,992 per square metre.
The steepest rise for pre-owned homes was in Teulada-Moraira, where prices increased last month by 8.5 per cent, followed by Massanassa in Valencia province which had a 6.1 per cent increase.
Although Teulada-Moraira properties accounted for the biggest rise in pre-owned prices last month, they have yet to break the €2,000 per square metre barrier.
Alboraia (Valencia) pre-owned properties are the highest at €2,435 per square metre, followed by Benidorm (€2,283), Calpe (€2,211), Altea (€2,148), Javea (€2,107) and Finestrat (€2,023).
