THE Junta de Andalucia has given the go-ahead to the expansion of the La Pernera infants’ school in Antas.
The regional government published the official authorisation order for the modification of the school’s number of units and pupil places in its official bulletin.
Posting on its Facebook page, Antas council said it was “pleased” to announce the school was opening a new classroom for the tiniest tots aged up to one year, increasing the number of places from 74 to 82, thanks to the authorisation from the Junta’s Education regional delegation.
The local authority also announced that the second selection procedure for admission of babies of this age is now open, and that more information is available from the school’s management.
La Pernera, which opened its doors in 2009, is run by the FAAM Almeria Federation of Associations for People with a Disability. It takes children up to three years old.
