THE town hall felled 20 trees, some of them 40 years old, in Javea’s Avenida del Pla in the Arenal area.
Once work on the Avenida concludes, others will replace the false pepper and palm trees, municipal sources explained.
Residents complained continually about the false pepper trees whose roots were damaging pavements and theses are likely to substituted by ornamental bitter orange trees.
