Pop royalty MADRID was host to Los40 Music Awards recently and welcomed musical stars from all around the world to their WiZink Centre. The Jonas Brothers, Rosalia, Mabel and Sam Smith wowed the fans with spectacular performances and all took away an award. Sam Smith received one of the most important awards of the night, a Golden Music award, previously won by superstars like Calvin Harris and Mary J Blige. Sam Smith has become a huge name for soul music internationally, with hits that cross borders and reach audiences of all ages. They have come a long way since winning their first Brit Award in 2014 when they had still yet to release a debut album. The Los40 also rewarded them in 2015 with an album of the year award for Once In The Lonely Hour which spent 69 consecutive weeks in the UK top ten, surpassing The Beatles.
