Miki Esparbé, one of the lead characters in the new Netflix series Drug Squad: Costa del Sol has signed up as the protagonist in forthcoming Movistar release Los Espabilados. The busy Catalan actor confirmed on Twitter that he will take part in the seven episodes which are inspired by the novel “What I will tell you when I see you again” by Albert Espinosa,

Recording has already started in Barcelona and Menorca and continues in France and Italy.

The story tells of a group of youngsters who escape from a psychiatric centre looking for their place in the world and embark on a trip through Europe to find one of their brothers. The kids all suffer from mental illnesses and have to overcome many obstacles in their adventure.
