BENIDORM Local Police have arrested two Brits in the so-called English area of the town on drug trafficking charges.
The detentions at the weekend were, according to reports, thanks to a canine sniffer dog working with officers from the Response and Prevention Group.
During an operation to carry out inspections of establishments in the zone officers were checking out the boot of a vehicle which at first glance was empty. However the dog’s behaviour indicated something was not right.
They discovered a button which revealed a hidden compartment in which there were stashed bags of drugs and a large knife. Officers also reportedly discovered the business cards of the individuals for whom the suspects are believed to have worked through advance orders.
