FIVE of Axarquia’s major towns joined their Costa del Sol neighbours made the journey to London last week to take part in the 2019 World Trade Market.

The World Trade Market Exhibition is one of the most important trade shows in the world when it comes to tourism, and this year, the Costa del Sol turned out in force to represent the Malaga province.

Nerja, Torrox, Frigiliana, Velez Malaga and Rincon de la Victoria joined Antequera, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Marbella, Benahavís and Manilva to take part in the show to promote the regions unique tourism qualities.

Numerous companies and travel operators also attended to help reassure the British public that Andalucía is staying committed to UK tourists in the face of Brexit uncertainty.

Torrox made their mark with a high tech audio visual display that promoted the regions “best climate in Europe” slogan, whilst Rincon de la Victoria showed support to the Anoreta Gold Club, paying homage to the fact that Golfing tourism equals almost 40% of the town’s tourist numbers throughout the summer.

This year, Frigiliana also joined its fellow municipalities to help promote its qualities but also to learn about new trends and strategies in tourism to push the town forward.
