The Queen and Britain’s current and past political leaders led the country’s Remembrance Sunday service for the nation’s war dead.
The Queen, dressed in black, watched from a balcony in the Cabinet Office as her son Prince Charles, laid a wreath of scarlet poppies on the Cenotaph war memorial in central London on her behalf.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and other opposition politicians, paused campaigning for in the General Election to join the ceremony on a cold, sunny morning in central London.
A very rare moment took place as the Queen watched from her balcony as she had to wipe away tears.
The glorious Queen has normally in situations as today’s a solum face but we can’t recall tears at the Euro Weekly News? – bless her anyway!
