THE City Council of Palma will spend €96,316 on the Christmas Light Show in the capital. The budget was approved on November 6 by the Board of Government, where spokesman Alberto Jarabo indicated that the Christmas lights in Palma will be “spectacular and surprising, just as they were last year”. The money will be spent on musical performances, circus, dance and audio-visual projections for the opening ceremony which will take place on November 28 from 7pm. The ‘Angels Without Wings’ association will star in the show this year, after obtaining support from the City Council for their promotion of solidarity and cooperation among all citizens. The Christmas lights in Palma are considered to be the best in the Mediterranean, marking the beginning of the festive season in Mallorca.
