IMMERSE yourself in a quirky photography exhibition running this month at Huercal-Overa’s Teatro Villa.
Local photographer Francisco Tamayo is exhibiting 13 of his works which portray himself in what are described as “different states of personal immersion, attributable to the natural malaise, ‘unconscious’ process of intoxication, psychological repercussion on society and the ‘differences’ between beliefs or states.”
Huercal-Overa Mayor Francisca Lourdes Fernandez and Culture councillor Diego Ortega were among those attending the exhibition inauguration.
Ortega described the images as “contemporary art with a message which leaves no-one indifferent, works which surprise everyone.
“Huercal-Overa has a lot to discover from its artists”, the councillor added.
The Mayor talked about the impact of the show, remarking, “it makes us aware of the different states in which we can find people.”
She also invited local residents to come and take a look at the photographs for themselves.
