Architect jailed on the Costa Blanca

A MUNICIPAL architect from Torrevieja has been jailed for two years for false documentation after he signed off a report on an ‘illegal’ building without bothering to inspect it from the inside.

The offence occurred in 2005 when he looked at the nine apartment block being built by Pascual Ortiz Roche, a councillor at the time. The court heard that the building did not comply with its building licence and had a penthouse floor added.
