THE Almanzora Group of Friends is seeking more members.
IF you find yourself at a loose end some days and feel like you want to give something back to the community and integrate more then the AGoF could be just the right opportunity.
The group’s library is getting busier now that summer is over and they would welcome new members to the team. There is nothing complicated involved and it is fun.
Or you may be interested in joining the committee and helping with the decision-making process. Again, they work very much as a team and everyone has their say.
Then there is their involvement with the local schools. As well as visiting two primary schools to read and sing with the children in English, AGoF members will soon be going to a secondary school to carry out conversations in English with the older children.
They also run ‘Coffee Spanglish’: a chance for English and Spanish-speakers to practice their conversation in each other’s language.
Anyone who would like to know more about any of these activities just needs to let AGoF know and they will arrange for the appropriate person to have a chat with you.
Pop in to the AGoF centre in Plaza San Antonio in Albox town. Alternatively you can call 634 343 147 Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm, or email them at almanzorafriends@gmailcom.
